The members had been working  during the lockdowns, and there were some  100+ pictures in view.

At our Annual Exhibition (see details below) we will have more hanging space thanks to a donation from the W.C.A, allowing us to add another two display boards to the two we were purchasing.

We also have new members of the group, who are keen to display their work, and in some instances offer them for sale.

Members of the Warboys-based art group ‘Let’s Paint Together’ enjoyed another successful autumn exhibition which was held at the Warboys Sports & Social Club on the 27th and 28th October 2018. Over 120 paintings were exhibited of which 24 were sold during the exhibition and several commissions taken.

About 180 visitors attended the show and, although entry was free, visitors were invited to make a donation for a charity and to help raise funds towards the cost of additional exhibition stands for the club.  In total nearly £200 was raised in donations from visitors and exhibitors’ sales and this year’s charitable cause will be EACH (the East Anglian Children’s Hospice).

The Group also sponsored the presentation of art prizes to pupils selected (by the school) from each Year of Warboys Community Primary School, and some happy winners came and collected their prizes during the exhibition. Anyone who missed the exhibition can see examples of members’ art on this website. Their individual pages of each artist can also be used to contact them directly to discuss any work you may like.  The photographs accompanying this article show some of the works on show at the exhibition.

Further, some examples of members’ art continue to be exhibited in the Warboys Resource Centre and also in Amanda’s Flower Shop on the Great Whyte in Ramsay.

Warboys Art Group meets on Wednesday evenings throughout the year at the Sports and Social Club, off Forge Way, in Warboys. More information can be found here on the web site on the “About Us” page.
